Park County School District 6 School Nutrition Update for 2024-2025
Dear Park 6 Families,
We want to clarify some misinformation from a recent Cody Enterprise article regarding free meals for students. PCSD 6 will maintain the same lunch prices as the 2023-2024 school year. Please see the chart below for details. We encourage all families to complete the free and reduced meal application and turn it in to your school's front office.
We are pleased to announce that PCSD 6 has been selected to participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) free meal reimbursement program. Heart Mountain Academy and Wapiti Schools have been selected by the state of Wyoming to implement CEP for the 2024-2025 school year, offering free meals to all students at these schools. This means families of Wapiti and HMA will not need to fill out applications for free and reduced meals.
Please see the attached image for meal prices.

The Cody Schools Education Foundation is hosting an event to support young children who will be starting school in the coming years.
The title of the event is "Every Child Ready.” It is a free, 3-hour workshop presented by Dr. Nikki Baldwin, a University of Wyoming early childhood specialist and is sponsored by the recently formed Cody Schools Education Foundation.
The goal is to ensure that more Cody children are as well prepared as they can be to succeed when they reach school age, regardless of what form that schooling takes, public, private or at home.
The method is to make sure that those who spend significant time with young children, especially parents, know the basic science of early learning and how children’s brains develop. The most important result will be families that are well informed about best practices, activities and tips they can smoothly incorporate in their everyday routines.
The workshop will be at the Cody Middle School on Saturday, June 22, at 9:00 a.m. with a free breakfast at 8:30 a.m. For purposes of an estimated meal count it will be helpful for participants to register with the QR code or email address provided.
The Cody Schools Education Foundation is an IRS-designated 501’(c)(3) non-profit public charity whose mission is “Enriching Education for Cody Students”. Some other Wyoming towns have foundations but until now Cody has not had an education-focused foundation to support schools and students.
