Hello Park 6 Families,
I hope you have had an enjoyable summer and found time to relax and be with friends and family. With the start of school just around the corner, the Park 6 Board of Trustees took the opportunity to discuss Governor Gordon’s recent announcement regarding local control with a safe return to school.
The decision has been made that we will return to school as we ended school in May.
+Masks will be recommended but not required. We believe everyone has a personal choice and those choices must be respected.
+Park 6 will continue to work with the Park County Public Health Officer and our local healthcare leaders.
+We will strive to maintain social distancing of 3-6 feet when possible.
+Cleaning protocols will be maintained at the level of the 2020-2021 school year.
+Due to current Federal transportation requirements students will be required to wear masks when traveling on school buses, this will include travel to sporting events and activities. This will be re-evaluated if the Federal requirement is changed.
We are looking forward to a great school year. The first day for students will be Wednesday, August 25.

School starts in 20 days on August 25, 2021!
We are excited for students to be back in school ! To prepare for school to start we need a yearly information update for EVERY returning student. We call this a "Returning Student Registration". Parents and Guardians will be notified via email and mailed letters with information on how to complete this for returning students.
This registration needs to be complete by August 20, 2021. If you have questions or problems with the registration, please call your student's school.

Don't forget to swing through Mentock Park tomorrow, June 30th, from 11:30-12:30 for meal pick up. We will not be in the park July 7th so this pickup will have 2 weeks worth of goodies. Lunch entrees include pbjs, chicken bowls, build your own nachos, pretzels with pb or hummus, and jerky with popcorn. This and more will be packaged in two big grocery sacks and come with a gallon of milk. Please come prepared to move mountains and dont forget your cooler (and sunscreen) if you plan on staying at the park to enjoy the splash pad. Safety first! See you on June 30th and then again on July 14th.

As we reach the end of the school year, we are trying to collect all library materials. We are asking for all books to be turned in by Friday, May 21. If you do not know what items your child has checked out, please check with the library at your child's school or have your student log into their Destiny account at park6.follettdestiny.com with their Google credentials. Thank you for your help in keeping our libraries ready for use!
