Today during 2nd and 3rd periods in the War Room, a representative from WyoTech gave a presentation and answered questions about WyoTech School and the programs they offer there to our students that were interested. Wyoming has a great program offered through this school.

Pedestrian safety, particularly around school zones, continues to be a serious concern around Wyoming and within the state legislature. To that end, WYDOT produced a 3 1/2 minute video back in November about the important topic of crosswalk safety. We are grateful to the Wyoming Department of Education for helping to promote the video through their online news bulletin. As a reminder, the video is geared to people of all ages and serves to inform viewers about how to safely navigate the various types of crosswalks they come across. Entitled "Crosswalk Safety", the video can be found on WYDOT's YouTube Channel ("WYDOT Videos"). You can also click here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ab5ErW6RVrE

Have you ever wondered how jelly bean flavors are made and tested? How about how to make a hat for an island with only a few items? Which candies will be a solid or liquid once hot water is added? The second graders at Livingston are learning all those concepts during science! Our next step... making GLUE!!!

Park County School District 6 will make-up our snow day from December 21, 2022 on January 16, 2023. This will be a regular school day. Thank you.

Make-up Day
Park County School District Families, Due to the inclement weather on December 21, 2022, Park County School District 6 canceled school. Park County School District 6 has designated January 16, 2023, as the make-up day. Monday, January 16, 2023, will be an in-person regular school day. Wyoming Statutes 21-02-304(b)(viii) and W.S. 21-4-301 and Wyoming Department of Education Rule 22 require all districts to operate 175 days of Pupil-Teacher Contact Time. This day was selected because it is the next available day on the school calendar. The decision was made to have an in-person day because the most effective learning environment is one where teachers and students are in-person and in the classroom.
