Program Overview
The Cody Middle School After School Tutoring / Extended Day Program has three key elements: (1) providing a safe, secure and supportive environment for students that includes snacks, (2) providing academic assistance with homework and missing assignments. and (3) providing enrichment activities. CMS is committed to providing a safe, secure, and supportive environment where students can further their academic goals and pursuits. The academic assistance with homework and missing classroom assignments is one of the primary functions of the after school tutoring / extended day program and it serves as a support for students. It is in alignment with the school day academic content which is directly tied to Wyoming State Standards.

Q: How can a student get enrolled in Extended Day?
A: Any and all CMS students are welcome to be a part of the CMS After School Tutoring / Extended Day Program. Student attendance will be taken during every session. Students will be expected to abide by the CMS Schoolwide Expectations and any student not abiding by CMS expectations, policies, and rules may be suspended from the program or face school disciplinary consequences.
Q: When is Extended Day?
A: Cody Middle School’s Extended Day program launches on Monday, October 18th! Extended Day will run from 3:35 - 4:25PM three days a week, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesday.
Q: Is transportation provided for students participating in Extended Day?
A: Yes, Park County School District 6 provides transportation for students who participate in the extended day program. Students will be dropped off at the following locations: Green Acres, D/F Street, Bobcat, The Boys and Girls Club, CHS, The Rec Center, and Livingston.
Q: What grade levels are eligible to enroll in the program?
A: The program is available for all 6th through 8th grade students enrolled at CMS.
Q: What is the cost of the program?
A: The Extended Day program will be offered to CMS students free of charge.
Q: Are snacks provided?
A: A snack will be offered at no cost for students enrolled in the program.
Q: What are the Extended Day Program days/hours?
A: The program will tentatively operate three days a week after school on Monday, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. The program will open at 3:35 PM and it will be dismissed at 4:35PM. Students attending the program will need to arrive on time and not leave before 4:35 pm. Exceptions can be made if prior parent/guardian contact is made.
Q: Will there be supervision and who staffs the program?
A: CMS Staff will be in charge of supervising and working with students in the program. The CMS staff will consist of a diverse group of teachers across different content areas and grade levels.
