K-5th Grade Students of Park 6 have been enjoying their semester of Art activities with their Northwest Collage Art Teachers.
The students have been studying Abstract Art and the Art work of Wassily Kandinsky.
Kandinsky was a Russian Painter who specialized in Abstract and Western Art. He was born in Russia and then moved to France later in his life.
He was born in 1866 and died in 1944. Kandinsky began his Art career at age 30. He opened his own Art School in 1902. Kandinsky often used shapes and lines in his abstract Paintings.
The students used recycled paper towel tubes and cardboard boxes to create print making supplies to print lines and shapes. They also used recycled file folders for their art paper. This was a multi media project
That involved acrylic paints, oil pastels, and water colors.
If your business or organization is throwing out file folders while transitioning to digital files; please consider donating your file folders to our Art program for recycling into children's masterpieces! We appreciate our community's support!
Thank you!!!
