Cody Regional Health and Cody High School Strengthen Partnership to Launch Year Two of Classroom 2 Careers Initiative
August 26, 2024 – Cody, WY – Following the success of last year’s collaboration, Cody Regional Health (CRH) and Cody High School (CHS) are excited to announce the launch of their 2024-2025 partnership. This ongoing initiative, which is part of the second year of Park County School District 6’s Classroom 2 Careers program, aims to provide CHS scholars with real-world experiences that prepare them for future careers.
This innovative partnership is a testament to CRH's forward-thinking and proactive approach in serving the young people of Cody. By aligning with Governor Gordon’s RIDE (Reimagining and Innovating the Delivery of Education) initiative, Cody Regional Health and CHS are setting a new standard for career readiness programs in Wyoming.
The PCSD 6 Board of Trustees, Superintendent Orndorff, and the CHS Administration, are the driving force behind this partnership at Cody High School. Mr. Corey Young has worked closely with the CRH administration to create a comprehensive program that not only meets the educational needs of students but also addresses the workforce demands of the healthcare industry. “PCSD 6 is ever so grateful for the ongoing partnership with CRH, which has allowed us to open doors for our students that were previously unimaginable. The hands-on experience they receive through this program is invaluable as they consider their future careers,” Superintendent Orndorff.
Under the visionary leadership of its administration, Cody Regional Health has been instrumental in providing CHS students with unprecedented access to real-world healthcare settings. From shadowing professionals to participating in specialized training sessions, students are given a unique opportunity to explore potential career paths within the healthcare industry.
“Investing in the future of our community is at the core of Cody Regional with this partnership, we are not only preparing the next generation for successful careers but also ensuring that our healthcare system continues to thrive with skilled and passionate professionals,” CHS Principal Espeland.
This partnership represents a significant step forward in preparing Cody’s youth for the future. As the Classroom 2 Careers initiative enters its second year, the excitement and enthusiasm surrounding the program continue to grow. Both Cody Regional Health and Cody High School are committed to expanding and enhancing this collaboration, ensuring that it remains a cornerstone of career readiness in Cody.
